Graduated with 110 cum laude from the Faculty of Literature of the University of Genoa, course in Languages, historical-artistic course, with a thesis in Medieval and Modern Art History on the theme of Genoa as seen by English travellers of the 17th and 18th centuries (supervisor Ezia Gavazza), Serena Bertolucci, after graduating from the School of Specialization in Art History, worked in the Superintendence of Genoa. She was also a scholarship holder in Germany and, from 2004 to 2015, she worked at the Villa Carlotta Museum in Tremezzo, which she directed since 2010. Since 2015 she has directed the Royal Palace in Genoa. She has taught at the Polytechnic University of Marche (IDAU), and at the Bocconi University of Milan Master SDA Management of Cultural Heritage, Historical Villas: art, science and nature. Today she is the Director of the Palazzo Ducale Foundation in Genoa.
