Eu-RATE is a European project which aims to promote robotics access to the European educational system, supported by ERASMUS + agency. The project is Coordinated by the French Ligue de l’Enseignement Nouvelle-Aquitaine with 5 other partner organisations.
In a world where digital tools are increasingly part of our daily lives, educating children and young people in their use and understanding is the responsibility of those involved in education. Machines, algorithms and artificial intelligence are all terms that are now part of everyone’s vocabulary, even if we do not always know what they mean. The issues of conscious use, access for all, understanding, ethics, protection of personal data, but also technical training for the professions of tomorrow are now more than ever at the heart of the debates in European societies, and the questions arise from early childhood.
Digital education and education through digital technology offer opportunities in terms of education, creativity and innovation, in addition to meeting a societal need. The EU-RATE project thus addresses the need to increase young people’s interest and success in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, by making them actors in their use and promoting innovative methods, through fun robotic educational kits accessible to all. Digital education offers opportunities for education, creativity and innovation, as well as meeting a societal need.
