The autumn program in the regional Hubs of the Dicolab. Digital Culture project is packed with opportunities for those who want to learn about the latest digital trends to enhance cultural heritage and enrich the experience of museums, archives, libraries, and other cultural organizations, gaining practical tools and creative inspiration.

In October 2025, the Liguria, Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta HUB will offer a new type of engagement and capacity-building events open to the public, including non-specialists.

Two appointments:

  • Wednesday, October 1st, 10:00-12:30, at the Cottino Social Impact Campus in Turin, a workshop on “Cultural Audience Data: The Museum Membership Experience” Click here to register!
  • Wednesday, October 29, 10:00-13:00, at the Aosta Regional Archaeological Museum, a roundtable discussion on “Digital Cultural Resources and Their Life Cycle: The Experience of the 1563 Foundation.” Click here to register!

And then the in-person courses, free and certified, with a maximum of 25 participants:

  • Wednesday, October 1st, 2:00-5:00 pm, in Turin at the Cottino Social Impact Campus we will talk about “CRM and cultural audiences: models for strategic loyalty” with Alessandro Bollo (Director of the National Museum of the Risorgimento) and Matteo Merlo (Sales Director of CampuStore)
  • Monday, October 6, 10:00-13:00, at Scuola di Robotica in Genoa, the topic will be “Educational Robotics and Social Inclusion in Cultural Institutions.” Emanuele Micheli (School of Robotics) will be joined by Francesca Cocchella and Luca Garello from IIT Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, who will bring the experience of the AlterEgo robot to the Galata Museo del Mare.
  • Monday 20 October, 10:00-13:00, the Hub will also be in Asti, at the headquarters of the Goria Foundation, with a “Podcast Workshop: a digital service to enhance cultural content” led by Debora Debora (journalist and writer) and Sara Patrone (School of Robotics).
  • Monday 20 October, 2:00-5:00 pm, again in Asti at the Goria Foundation, it will be the turn of Nicola Camurri and Ugo Galassi of the ETT Group with a workshop on “Culture and sustainability: digital as a lever for more sustainable management”.
  • Wednesday, October 29, 2:30-5:30 pm, the Hub will also be in Aosta, at the Regional Archaeological Museum, with a course on “Metadata and interoperability: designing digital photographic archives according to international standards” led by Enrico Demaria of Astramedia with Alberto Abis of Fondazione 1563.

For the Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto HUB, courses are held in Bassano del Grappa, Venice-Mestre, and Rovereto (new!):

  • Monday, October 6, 10:00-13:00, at Campustore’s InnovaLab in Bassano del Grappa, Antonio Scuderi of ArtGlass will be speaking about “Extended Reality, AI, and Cultural Data: Reusing Digital Resources to Create New Content.”
  • Monday, October 6, 2:00-5:00 pm, at Campustore’s InnovaLab in Bassano del Grappa, Serena Bertolucci (Director of M9 Museo del ‘900) and Paolo Mezzalira (Innovation Manager of CampuStore) will hold a theoretical-practical workshop on “Podcasting for culture: techniques and tools for historical-artistic dissemination.”
  • Wednesday, October 8, 2:00-5:00 pm, at M9edu in Venice-Mestre, Stefania Operto will return to talk about “Qualitative Listening and Observation Techniques for Cultural Planning” (a topic opened in September with a meeting on quantitative techniques).
  • Friday, October 10, 10:00-13:00, at M9edu in Venice-Mestre, project manager Marco Marinuzzi will present a method for “Writing Winning Projects: A Strategic Guide for European Calls .” This module introduces a three-part training program (one per month) dedicated to European cultural project planning.
  • Monday 13 October, 10:00-13:00, the Hub also arrives in Rovereto, at the Museum of Science and Archaeology, with Alessandro Bollo (Director of the National Museum of the Risorgimento) who will talk about “Scenarios and challenges of digital innovation in the cultural sector”.
  • Monday 13 October, 2:00-5:00 pm, again in Rovereto at the Museum of Science and Archaeology, Stefania Vecchio of coMwork will share her personal experience and present cases of “Enhancement of archives and digital collections”.
  • Monday 20 October, 10:00-13:00, at M9edu in Venice-Mestre, we talk about project management with Massimiliano Zane (consultant in Cultural Economics) with a workshop on “Innovation and sustainability in cultural planning: digital tools and community engagement”.
  • Monday, October 27, we return to Rovereto at the Museum of Science and Archaeology, where Marco Fasoli (Sapienza University of Rome) begins the training day with “Digital well-being for cultural sector professionals” (10:00-13:00) and continues in the afternoon with “Generative Artificial Intelligence: how it works and how to use it in cultural contexts” (2:00-5:00 pm).

The Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige HUB is managed by CampuStore in collaboration with M9 Museo del ‘900 and Scuola di Robotica.

 

The courses are designed to improve the skills of staff at the Ministry of Culture and other public administrations, staff at public and private cultural institutions, businesses and professionals in the sector, and graduates and researchers at universities and academies.

The training is free and certified with Open Badge, the digital certification standard for acquired knowledge and skills used at the European level and usable in all European and national institutions.

The courses are offered as part of Dicolab. Digital Culture  the training program promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture – Digital Library as part of the PNRR Cultura 4.0, implemented by the Scuola nazionale del patrimonio e delle attività culturali and funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU.
