We present some of the recent activities of I-RIM, the Italian Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Machines, of which Scuola di Robotica is a member.
The President of I-RIM, Prof. Bicchi, was invited to present the activities of the Association in the Plenary Panel that opened the World Robotics Conference (IEEE ICRA) held virtually in Paris.
The prestigious magazine Science Robotics published a report on how the association has identified the most useful way to put technologies and robots at the service of rescuers and the sick, talking about “citizen-centered robotics”.
The new questionnaire
I-RIM launches a new listening campaign to understand how the world is changing as a result of the pandemic and how technology can help the restart. If citizens can help the scientific community identify and respond to the new challenges, the world of technology wants to be ready to listen. The goal is not limited to an analysis of short-term application scenarios. I-RIM wants to be able to take on the stimuli to inspire basic and medium-term research in robotics and smart machines.
Here the proposed questionnaire that aims to explore the condition of people – and in particular working people – and their renewed technological need, also in psychological terms.
We, therefore, invite you to fill in and spread the questionnaire as much as possible through your network. This is the link for the compilation (available in Italian and English).
